E-bike along the Amalfi Coast

Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Cetara, where you will also receive your bicycle. In this charming little fishing village on the southern coast, you can either stroll around and experience the historic old parts or, if you arrive early, take a bike ride to the nearby village of Vietri sul Mare, known for its beautiful ceramics.

On the first cycling day, you will discover the eastern part of the Amalfi Coast, following the beautiful winding coastal road, which many define as "the most scenic ride in the world". After passing the charming village of Vietri sul Mare and Cetara, you continue up to Capo d'Orso, the highest point of the road, with a wonderful view over the entire Amalfi Coast and Capri. You continue past the villages of Maiori, Minori & Castiglione. If you didn't visit it the day before, here you have the choice to cycle up to wonderful Ravello, which is a climb (but a relatively easy ride with your e-bike!), or continue to Amalfi.

This day will be devoted to the lesser-known, but equally beautiful inland. You will head from Amalfi to Ravello and Tramonti, up in the mountains, and then back to Amalfi along the coast again. After an optional detour to the beautiful small medieval villages of Pontone, Minuta and Scala, you arrive in Ravello, where you park your bike for a walk through the village. After the visit, you continue inland to Tramonti where you can find a place for lunch. From Tramonti, you then go down a winding road towards the Amalfi Coast again.

Today you leave Amalfi. You begin the second half of the dramatic "Strada Amalfitana": from Amalfi along Positano to the town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. You start with the short ride from Amalfi, through Praiano, to Positano, easily the most scenic – and worldly – of the towns on the coast. Shortly after Amalfi, you pass the scenic "Grotta Azzurra" and the spectacular "fjord" of Furore. From Positano, you pass Colli di Fontanelle before finally reaching your accommodation in Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi.

Now you cycle on the plateau high above the coast towards the very end of the peninsula, Punta Campanella. From the last village (actually called 'Termini') you have a fantastic view over Capri. You should cycle up to the small chapel San Costanzo, just above the village, where you can enjoy the 360-degree view! You then return along the northern coast, with wonderful views over the Bay of Naples again, through the charming village of Massa Lubrense. It is recommended to cycle down to the resort town of Sorrento, located on high vertical limestone cliffs above the sea.
