Today you have two alternatives. If you choose the longer stage, you cycle along the Sky Road which gives you fantastic views over the Atlantic and the islands off the coast. On small, quiet roads you pass the picturesque fishing village of Cleggan and then continue towards Letterfrack in Connemara National Park. After that, the cycling takes you to the Renvyle peninsula, known for its fine sandy beaches and spectacular views towards the mountain ridge Twelve Ben.

Set off from Renvyle and pass through Tullycross with its thatched houses. Continue past beautiful beaches to the small village of Leenane which lies at Ireland's only fjord - Killary. You can take a trip across the fjord with a chance to see dolphins that often swim alongside the ferry Connemara Lady Catamaran.

Today you leave the coast and cycle inland, back towards the mountains, on roads through moorland towards the enchanting Inagh Valley. You have the opportunity to visit one of Ireland's greatest attractions - Kylemore Abbey & Gardens. This Gothic fairy-tale castle lies lushly by a beautiful lake. Your accommodation is beautifully situated with views over Lake Lough Inagh.

You leave the mountains behind you and cycle again towards the coast. You cycle along a route with several beautiful fishing villages. The cycling takes you into the Gaelic-speaking region, Celtic Ireland's last bastion. Tonight you can relax in the small picturesque fishing village of Roundstone.
