You leave the coast behind and head inland. The road gradually goes uphill through meadows and wheat fields with scattered farms. The color palette varies with the season, from green during spring to golden yellow and bronze during summer and autumn. Once you arrive in Buseto Palizzolo, you check in at a small family-owned farm that serves homemade, locally produced dishes. Dinner is included.

Today you cycle to the archaeological site outside Segesta where you find an unusually well-preserved Doric temple from around 430 BC. The temple is located on a hill overlooking a deep ravine. Here you also find an ancient Greek theater. After the visit, you continue to hot springs where you can bathe before returning back to the agriturismo.

You turn back towards the coast over some hills before gaining speed down towards the lively city of Trapani where you spend the last two days. Along the way you see the elevated ancient city of Erice which is said to have been founded by people from Troy who lived in exile there. Stroll around Trapani during the afternoon or take the cable car up to Erice for a visit to this spectacularly located mountain village.
