Cycling in Veneto - The Prosecco Route

After breakfast you begin your vacation and cycle along the "sentiero degli ezzelini" path following a canal all the way to the charming hilltop town of Asolo; one of Italy's most beautiful villages. You then continue to Bassano del Grappa with views over the mountains and vineyards. Bassano is a magnificent destination at the foot of the Venetian Alps that combines historical memory, art, food and wine. Its history has been shaped by the Brenta river, which flows through the historic city center: here the two banks are united by a magnificent wooden bridge that has become the symbol of the city.

Today you cycle on country roads from Bassano del Grappa, towards the most famous wine route in Italy, the Prosecco route. Along the way you have the opportunity to stop and visit the magnificent "Tempio Canoviano" in Possagno. You then follow a panoramic road with views over the valley on the right side and the mountains on the left side until you reach a quiet cycle path along the Piave river. A final climb through the vineyards leads you to your destination, Valdobbiadene.

After breakfast the tour begins with a nice climb up the hill towards the village of Santo Stefano where you then continue cycling along one of the most beautiful roads in the entire region. The breathtaking panorama of the snow-capped Alps along the way will be an image you won't forget. Today's terrain is much more hilly; although the climbs are never particularly long, they can sometimes be steep.

An exciting and challenging tour awaits you today. After a climb you will pass through the small village of Refrontolo which lies along the "Prosecco Route". Ride down to the historic town of Vittorio Veneto. A gentle climb will lead you out of the town and past the Revine lakes and through artistic vineyards you return to Pieve di Soligo.

Today's tour begins with a route that again passes through the breathtaking hills of the Prosecco region. You cycle through the impressive Castel of San Salvatore and eventually you can again cross the Piave river. You finally reach Treviso where you will spend the night.
