Between vineyards and along waterways, today's cycling goes to Saint Brice and Abbey Chatre. In Bourg Charente you can have lunch at "Bistrot" (1* Michelin Guide restaurant). After that you will come to François Mitterand's birthplace - Jarmac. Continue cycling through vineyards & picturesque villages and pass Trois Palis with its chocolate factory before arriving in Angoulême. You will stay in the old town center.

Through forests, plains and along waterways you can enjoy southern Angoulême and the region's picturesque villages, churches and the beautiful and peaceful gardens of Jardin du Logis. You then cycle along the river Boeme before arriving at your hotel with large garden and pool.

Now it's time to return to the Cognac region with vineyards and open fields. On the way to Bassac you pass the ruins of Bouteville castle.
