Day 1: Arrival in Montenegro

Arrival at your first accommodation located in Durmitor National Park. Spend the afternoon preparing for tomorrow's hike.

Day 2: Cycling in Durmitor National Park - 35 km, +300 m/-300 m

Breakfast

After breakfast you hop on your bike to explore the spectacular mountain region of Durmitor. Here you can visit the famous "Black Lake", a glacial lake at 1400 meters altitude before cycling on to Bogomil's tombstones, also called Stecci. These tombstones are part of UNESCO's World Heritage List as well as the entire Durmitor National Park. After this approximately 35 km long tour you return to Zabljak.

Day 3: Europe's deepest canyon - Tara Canyon - 65 km, +1188 m/-1830 m

Breakfast

Today you leave Montenegro's roof and head to the edge of Tara Canyon. Take a last look back at the Durmitor mountains before cycling down a serpentine road to the famous Tara Bridge. If you want, you can also cross the deepest ravine in Europe, which in some places drops over 1000m from the surrounding highlands, with a zipline (optional). As you then follow the Tara river upstream you will pass through the Crna Poda forest reserve with its impressive Serbian spruces. Here you can also visit the Dobrilovina monastery. Today's route ends in Mojkovac where you are picked up by a transfer that drives you to tonight's accommodation in Virpazar by Lake Skadar.

This route can also be finished at 45 km, you will then be picked up at Camp Eko Oaza.

Day 4: From Virpazar - To Rijeka Crnojevica - 45 km, +755 m/-741 m (24 km, +377 m/- 386 m)

During today's bike tour you get the opportunity to explore Lake Skadar, the Balkan Peninsula's largest lake. You will experience the lake on a panoramic tour through old villages. Here you are constantly treated to a wonderful view over the lake and the Albanian Alps in the background. Your final destination is the village of Rijeka Crnojevica, here you have time to recharge your batteries before a transfer takes you to Montenegro's old capital Cetinje. Today you can choose between two different routes, 24 km or 45 km.

Day 5: From Lovcen - To Kotor - 48.3 km, +850 m/-1489 m

Breakfast

Along the old trade route from Cetinje to Kotor. The route starts directly from Cetinje and climbs adventurously up through Lovcen National Park. After the ascent you continue downward along a serpentine road with a fantastic view over the Bay of Kotor. Finally you reach Kotor's old town where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Bay of Kotor highlights - 43 km, +151 m/-151 m

Breakfast

The route takes you along the coast to discover the highlights of the Bay of Kotor. At Verige Strait, you take the ferry across to get a first glimpse of Perast, the baroque town with its monastery islands. Here you also have the opportunity to eat lunch before continuing the last kilometers to Kotor.

Day 7: Round trip to Tivat - 39 km, +312 m/-312 m

Breakfast

Tivat is currently the trendiest place along Montenegro's coast. The supermarina "Porto Montenegro" has given what used to be a sleepy little town a glamorous atmosphere. A detour to the "Solila Bird Sanctuary" offers a different perspective of this part of the Bay of Kotor. The bike tour first goes to Trojica Pass between Tivat and Kotor, from there you roll comfortably down to Tivat. The way back to Kotor leads along the coastal road.
