Arrival in Clifden and check-in at your accommodation. Roadbook with maps as well as bicycle and cycling equipment await you. A representative from our local operator will meet you either this afternoon or early tomorrow morning.

Today you explore the area around Clifden. You have the opportunity to cycle along the famous Sky Road or venture further south in Connemara on the Roundstone peninsula. Take it easy after your journey to western Ireland and get to know the surroundings and your bicycle.

Today you cycle to the fishing village of Cleggan where the ferry to the island of Inishbofin departs. You cycle along the Sky Road and have wonderful panoramic views out over the Atlantic. You see all of Clifden Bay and all the islands that lie offshore. The ferry to Inishbofin takes about 40 minutes (included in the trip price). On the island which has 200 inhabitants you will find plenty of historical monuments and its winding roads, soft sandy beaches and old stone walls give you a feeling of peace and well-being.
Depending on availability you will spend the night on Inishbofin or you take the last ferry back to Cleggan at 17:00 and spend the night there.

After a morning on the island you take the ferry back to the mainland and Cleggan from where you continue your cycling along the west coast. Your destination today is the beautiful and historic Renvyle peninsula. On quiet country roads you pass Letterfrack and Connemara National Park. Once on Renvyle you can enjoy the fine sandy beaches and the spectacular view towards the Twelve Bens mountain range.

After a hearty Irish breakfast you set off and pass Tullycross with its traditional thatched houses. Follow the coast along perfect sandy beaches to the small village of Leenane, located at Ireland's only fjord - Killary. You can take a trip across the fjord with a chance to see dolphins that often swim alongside the ferry Connemara Lady Catamaran. The trip takes 1.5 hours.

Leave charming Leenane and cycle through the spectacular Delphi valley to the town of Louisburgh which is a beautiful small town where much of its 18th century history and charm is preserved. The area is fantastically beautiful with Croagh Patrick to the east, the Atlantic to the west, the Sheaffrey and Mweelrea mountains to the south and Clew Bay to the north. Enjoy all of this during your evening in Louisburgh.
