Arrival on your own to Mozart's hometown.

You follow the Salzach river to Oberndorf, where the famous Silent Night chapel stands. With the Alps as a backdrop, you cycle onwards towards the beautiful lake Waginger See. Today's destination is the former salt town of Traunstein, between Waginger See and Chiemsee.

From Traunstein you cycle along Lake Chiemsee with the opportunity to take a boat trip to Fraueninsel or Herreninsel with its magnificent castle. Today's stage ends in charming Wasserburg, one of the most beautiful towns along the Inn river.

Make a stop in Rosenheim with its historic houses and picturesque streets. The journey continues along the Inn river to Kufstein, "the pearl of Tyrol", where the mighty fortress watches over the town.

Today's stage offers alpine idyll at Walchsee, with the Kaiser mountains as a backdrop. The baroque small town of St. Johann attracts with pleasant cafés and shops.

Follow the Saalach river to Bad Reichenhall, known for its historic salt hall, one of Bavaria's most impressive industrial monuments.

A beautiful conclusion awaits when you cycle to Berchtesgaden and follow the Berchtesgadener Ache river back towards Salzburg. Pass Hellbrunn Palace and its playful water features before returning to the heart of the city.
