Cycle from the Alps to Lake Garda

Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Silandro where bikes and cycling equipment await you. Take a walk through the town and prepare for the week ahead.

A private transfer after breakfast takes you to Passo Resia from where you start the first day's cycling. You cycle along Lake Resia and pass the flooded church with the bell tower sticking up above the water surface. You continue on a beautiful cycle path along alpine meadows. Stop in the charming villages of Burgusio and Clusio before reaching the walled town of Glorenza. Continue on the cycle path along the Adige River to Lasa where you can visit their marble museum.

Today you make your way down through the Venosta Valley surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery with snow-capped peaks. Stop in the lively town of Naturno before the cycle path takes you further through a narrow ravine to continue out into a broad glacial valley. Merano is now within reach and you have the afternoon to stroll around this delightful town.

From Merano you pedal onwards towards Bolzano, South Tyrol's majestic capital. From here the cycle path goes through beautiful rolling countryside full of vineyards all the way to Caldaro where your hotel is located by the lake.

From the crystal-clear water at Caldaro you continue along the beautiful Strada del Vino (wine route) which takes you past more small wine villages. Then you make your way through the Adige Valley and get on a cycle path that takes you all the way to Trento. Feel free to stop along the way at some of the cycle bars "Bici Grill". In the afternoon you have time to explore Trento. Your hotel is located in the old town center.

The first part of today's stage follows a cycle path along the turquoise-colored Adige River to the town of Rovereto. Then cycle westward towards a narrow pass from where you then make your way down towards Riva del Garda with fantastic views over Lake Garda. Through Riva del Garda's narrow alleys you make your way to your hotel.

The trip ends after breakfast. There is an opportunity to book an extra night in Riva del Garda and do a circular cycle ride of 48 km.
