Day 1: Arrival in Vilde

Arrival in Vilde on the Spanish Costa Verde and check-in at a charming, family-run agroturismo. Here you will also receive your bicycle and cycling equipment if you have rented it.

Day 2: Circular tour from Vilde - 41 km, +375-440 m/-440 m

The first tour goes around Vilde. A wonderful tour through a hilly, green landscape not far from the sea right on the border between Cantabria and Asturias, two beautiful provinces in northern Spain.

Day 3: From Vilde to Cué - 25 km, +325 m/-285 m

Breakfast

A peaceful cycling tour through charming, authentic villages and along cliffs overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. There is an opportunity to stop and visit Cueva del Pindal, a beautifully located cave with valuable prehistoric paintings. Don't miss the ruins of the Romanesque church Santa Tina either.

Day 4: From Cué to Nueva de Llanes - 37 km, +400 m/-350 m

Choose between a tour uphill to enjoy wonderful views over the Sierra del Cueras coastline or a more peaceful tour along green hills with grazing cows and small picturesque villages.

Day 5: From Nueva de Llanes to Sales - 39 km, +330 m/-365 m

Breakfast

Follow the northern part of the pilgrimage route Camino de Santiago through the lower part of Sierra del Sueve. This small but still impressive mountain ridge is home to the elegant black horse breed Caballo Asturcón, native to Asturias.

Day 6: From Sales to Argüero - 34 km, +420 m/-285 m

Breakfast

Villaviciosa is the cider-making capital of Asturias, surrounded on both sides by green hills with apple trees. A visit to its historic center is a must and shows that this was an important stop for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Day 7: From Argüero to Gijon - 29 km, +240 m/-390 m

Breakfast

The last cycling day is somewhat shorter, 29 km, but begins with a small climb. Cycle uphill, surrounded by lush greenery, and then glide slowly downhill towards the city of Gijon. Cycle along the beautiful San Lorenzo promenade onwards to your hotel.
