From Hendaye you will go to the dock to take the water bus, you cross Txingudy Bay, which separates Hendaye from the Spanish port of Hondarribia. You will quickly reach Cabo Higuer, the western end of the Pyrenees. From there, the trail will give you a rich and informative overview of the Basque Country, leading you up the cliffs to a green valley. After the hike you will arrive in Hondarribia, where it's time for a Tapas stop! Then return to Hendaye by water bus.

The day begins with a short transfer to Mount Jaizkibel where you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the sea. Then you walk down along a cliff edge to reach Pasaia, where you take another water bus to cross Pasaia Bay. The remaining part of the hike to reach San Sebastian will lead you along streams and lakes. San Sebastian and its famous "Concha" await you, discover the best tapas bars in the entire country.

At the beginning of the day you gradually hike upward above San Sebastián and then follow a beautiful trail with sea views. Towards the end of the stage you pass the green vineyards where the fresh Basque white wine Txakoli is grown – a wine you will most likely have the opportunity to taste during the trip. The stage ends in Zarautz, from where you take the train to Zumaia (departs approximately once an hour, travel time about 8 minutes, ticket about €1.80 – not included but all information is provided in the travel description).

Since today's hike is short, there is an opportunity to relax and enjoy the beach in Zarautz in the morning if you wish. Then it's time to put on your hiking boots to start today's hike with a footpath that winds along the coast to Getaria. Getaria is a small fishing port dominated by the San Anton lighthouse, Getaria is also one of the most popular places in the Basque Country. After this you will arrive in Zumaia, where you can visit a wonderful bay where the Urola and Narrondo rivers meet.

Today's hike gives you the opportunity to discover one of the most fantastic and interesting areas on the entire Basque coast, recently declared as a biotope. The itinerary allows you to stroll here for a few hours. This is one of the most important geological sanctuaries in the world.
At the end of the day you get transfer to Zumaia by train (comfort version only).

The trip ends after breakfast. Today there is an opportunity to visit the city of Bilbao, a world-famous city thanks to the Guggenheim Museum, which was designed by architect Franck O.Gerhy. The Guggenheim Museum is a must-see in Spain and has made the city one of the most important cultural cities in the world.
